245/50/r16's they are as big as you should go and there is not any clearance issues are far as turning or anything. the least exspensive you might find would be khumo, however they are not that easy to find at least in my area, you could order them from www.summitracing.com

ohh yeah make sure that if you go to like ntd or a shop like that they should be giving you h-rated, dont let them talk you into v rated or anything like that, and dont pay more than 115 a piece, i had been patient and i got mine for about a hundred a piece when they had a sale at tire kingdom, i went with fulda carat's which is a german high performance brand of tire. but the normal price for the tires on these stangs is $120-145. f**k that ya know. i would have ordered the khumo's but i dont have a truck to haul them around to a shop and all that but if you can make it happen they are only like 60 or 70 bucks a piece and they are h rated too.

remember that 79 to 90 fenders have smaller wheel wells and will interfer with large tires. i run 235/55/16s up front 255/50/16 on rear but my wheels are 16x8 and have a deeper offset then those 16x7 ponys

89LX you run the same exact sizes I do. 245 rear. 225 front. I STILL GET NO TRACTION!!!! AHHH THE TORQUE...
Would be great to fit some 335's in there..
