Default installing new cam?

just scored a 347 stroker short block and have a few questions. First, is it neccesary to degree a cam, or do you just stab it in?
Second, how well would the trick flow H/C/I compliment this motor, or is there a better/more suited H/C/I setup for this motor?
Also, the only info I have on the build for this motor is 9.2 to 1 cr and balanced to 28oz.

You won't know the compression until you have heads and gaskets, since that is part of the CR equation. As far as degreeing a cam, you will if you're smart. The Trick Flow h/c/i kit would prolly work really well on a 347 for a torquey street engine, but I have neither a 347 nor Trick Flow anything so couldn't tell you for certain how it would run

Use a compression ratio calculator online to fingure out what it is. For instance, I know mine is 9.44:1 static and 8.31:1 dynamic
