80mm maf off a lightning

RE: 80mm maf off a lightning
There is a 80mm LMAF and a 90mm LMAF. Most often when 'LMAF' is used, it is referring to the 90mm unit.
I don't remember what years each was used...
Ford NEVER calibrated ANY MAF meter to an injector size. This was only done by aftermarket companies like C&L, ProM/PMAS, etc.
If you want to run the LMAF (either one), then you MUST get a custom burned chip, regardless of injector size.
Hope that helps...

Interesting. I never saw the 80mm one. Then again, I never looked too hard for one. Always saw the 90mm ones for sale.
Just out of curiousity, do you know where I can get a generic flow sheet for one? I'm curious how much air flow it can handle before it pegs the meter.

nevermind. Just found one preloaded in CalEdit. Not too bad... pegs the meter just over 1700ish. More than enough for most people I know. Not bad considering you can pick one up for $85 brand new.
Of course, it's useless to me. I need a blow through MAF and had to go with a protube. It's calibrated for 42# injectors so it tops out at just over 2000 Kg/h.
