Quick Help! Wheels...
 

Hey Everybody... It's been awhile since I've been on here, and I know someone will bring up the 'search' thing...I'm sorry, I just really need a quick answer on this. I have an '89 fox w/ crappy wheels (and tires) so I'm planning on buying new rims. Cobra Rs are the easiest/cheapest to get...so I'm gonna go with those.

I found a set of 18x9s w/ tires...and I'm wondering if they will fit my basically stock suspension fox body... I still have quads and all...so will they fit? or rub badly...if so, what would need to be done to get them to fit perfectly.. Also, the car has not been dropped at all...

Im not too sure about 18s, but with 17x9 it should fit fine with the quads removed. What size tire are you looking to go for? 245, 255?

Tires are 245/35... and do I just remove the quads and it will be just fine? or would I need to replace them w/ something?

You can remove them and do without completely. I think the widest you can squeeze with the quads in are 255s...so 245s should fit with them still in, but I think you should go wider with a 9" rim. Im pretty sure my ponys are 16x8 (or 7?) and I have 245s on them. You might be stretchin them 245s out, so I'd ask around and go with something a little wider like 265

Just because are cars werent designed for snow chains doesnt mean we cant fit some meats under there.

I may get new tires sometime in the near future..but the wheels are used w/ the tires already on it...
so I dunno... anyone think I should go for them? or wait for somethin else to come along. I know everyone seems to have a problem w/ the cobra r's...but they look a hell of a lot better than the wheels I have now.

Alright...real quickly!! If anyone has any objections let me know so I don't make a mistake!! lol

The wheels are Chrome Cobra R's: 18x9 (offset: 20) (Bolt Pattern: 4x4.25 or 4x107.95)
Tires are Kumho 245/35

I don't know much about wheels so if I'm making a mistake tell me now!!!

I'll be buying them by tonight if no one tells me not to do so.
