lol, i wasnt really trying to race but i when to floor it from a a light and gut pulled on in second, it was like my car has no take off. f this im not much slower in my damn 4banger and the gas is way better and the car looks hella cleaner. i think something is wrong with my gt. it felt alot stronger when i first got it, and stronger than other 5.0s ive driven in the past. its like it has torque and no go, itll light em up good but its slow, my idle has been acting funny lately too. and i was on the freeway doing like 70 and the car was pulling going faster and faster but the tach wasnt changing!wtf!

Alright man theres definately something wrong with your car. Start with the basics: Fuel filter, Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, clean the MAF, set TPS voltage... etc etc. These cars need TLC but they can run better than new with a good tune up.

it was a newer jeep kinda gold color looked like a cherokee or something. it looked very plain.whats the STR 8 look like? link to a pic?
my tach works under normal conditions, but i was doing 70 and hit 75 and it didnt move at all and i could feel the car speeding up. can i steal a coil off a 89 ranger?ive changed everything but plugs

i'm not sure about that... but i was just suggesting the coil as a place to start, because of the tach issue.
it could be numerous other things. the oil in the rear end could be all sludged up, and that would make it drive like a dog too.

i thought it seemed like my car has been slowly losing power since ive had it for the last month or so. it sat for a while, the guy i got it from drove it home about 50 miles and blew a heater core house romping on it near his house and parked it till i got it. so all the sudden i get it and put a bunch of miles on it 1000 i think so far, almost 2k, same old plugs drove nice why would it get bad now in 30 days or 60 days?iac might be bad too, im going to clean my old one and put it back on
