i think if i shoot for 9s im going to swap everything from the vert to a nice caged notch so i dont have safety issues if you know what i mean, as for now should be fun to play around with in the vert

most of the techs arent stupid out there if they look at your car and give a lil listen and see a turbo or s/c or n2o they might let you get by with it for one run then if you run too good they might kick you out till you get the cage

Who enforces you to get this roll cage and how does any1 know your 1/4 mile time, when the track sees u get a time and you dont have 1, what do they do?

ruger, thats a good plan. imo verts are nice 12sec cars but i personally would never try to build one faster then that. its a nice car to have on the street, wish i had one. but for racing, i want a solid metal roof over my head

NHRA and insurance companies in short. But really it's the track that is ultimately responsible for you having the proper chasis specs while racing. They won't let you run your car if you don't have the proper chasis specs. It's for your safety and their safety that they do this.
When you show up, they visually inspect your car. Some places ask your 1/4mile time if you have run before. Most however, will pay attention to your first run and will stop you from making any more passes if you do not pass.
On the street, there are no rules aside from DOT regulations on noise, emissions, and tires. If you want to build a 9 second street car and never take it to the track, you can get away with any chasis you want to run. Keep in mind though, that a cage not only protects a driver, but it gives rigidity to a car in multiple demensions. If you want your 9 second car to stay straight for more than 3 WOT runs, you will have to get a cage installed.

yea i say 4 point simply because i have the vert so i dont want bars above my head, thats what i have my t-top for, and he didnt specify how much power and how fast he was going...yea 6 point is the best..but 4 point is great too
