Hey all, I was doing a quick tune on my new 94 SN95, I checked the TPS, cleaned the TB, checked fuel and oil pressure, and tried to advance the timing. It seemed that if I were to advance it a hair over 10* base, it would start pinging. I am not sure if it is pinging I am hearing because the clutch is pretty bad, and it may be the clutch chattering at high speeds/heavy load. Is there anything I can do to fix this? New plugs? coil? wires? I am not sure why it is pinging, I had my 91 @ 14* when it was stock without any problems. Any suggestions?

Fuel octane plays a part with pinging.....

your Harmonic Balancer could be bad

Run atleats 91 octane, that may help.

if it doesnt like more timing dont give it more timing
