Default Fan troubles...

here is the thing. yesterday my 95 302ci overheated and started spraying coolant out the front grill. thankfully, i was at autozone but what i was told was wrong. the fan stopped which caused the overheating in all of that stop n go traffic. i tried to move the fan by hand thinking that i had gotten something stuck and it wouldn't move. i tried to test the power gettin to the fan (didn't really have the right stuff to do it) and i couldn't really conclude anything.

so far i've got:

no blown fuses, fan doesn't wanna turn and im not 100% sure if there is power gettin to the fan and really need a new paint job now.

suggestions?

electric fan should move freely with no power going to it!

you can disassemble it and just replace the motor. the fan itself should only be held onto it with 1 nut.

You don't want to purchase a new one from ford, they want $325 for the Taurus 3.8 fan assembly, I got the junk yard special shipped for $50 and even if the motor goes I will only have to spend another $50 for a new motor. g/l
