764 is the autolite number for gt-40's... TR55 in NGK

GT-40's and GT-40P's use a 764 plug. I will verify this tomorrow at work.

autolight #25's are the right plugs for the stock heads, GT40P heads use #764 autolights.

Better check for sure and use the ones for the GT40P heads! I think that there is something different with the amount of threads and their protrusion into the plug hole! If I'm not mistaken a few months back someone was complaining of plugs coming out of the threads of their P heads!
