Default I need help finding a new fuel sending unit

My old gas tank leaked, so I couldn't fill it up much, so when I swapped that out with a new one, my friend and I discovered that the sending unit (I think it was this (basically its the only wires on the fuel tank that connects the bobber and the other stuff)) was in need of replacement. The one that was in use had two good connections, but the third had been ripped off somehow and the plastic connection was now just bare wires wrapped around the appropriate connection.

We tried to fix it again, but now my gas gague reads at empty the whole time. So I need a new one, and lucky for me, ford doesn't make them anymore, and I haven't had any luck in finding an aftermarket one thus far. This is where I need your help.

I am sure some of you guys have come across this problem, and I would rather buy a new one than go to a junkyard right now, so if you know of an aftermarket place that sells these, then please help. Thanks.

Yeah, I figured that this would happen... I don't need the actual unit, I need the wire that connects to it. It should have 3 plastic connections on it, and its the only wire (at least that I could see) on the gas tank.

Heh, now I feel really dumb about the topic being slightly off, but then again, I am new to this.

Not yet, but since I need to wait on some other parts before I get my mustang up and running again, I just wanted to try to use the web first.
