Default I want 400 horsepower

I just bought a 302 bare block. I want to know what majors part i need to in order to operate at 400 hp and 325-350 rwhp.
if yall can let me know parts and maybe where to get them for a good price it would b greatly appreciated

You can get there rather easily, depending on how much money you have. You cna reach that on a stock engine with a 10 pound blower. Or you can get 400 bhp N/A with a good set of heads, exhaust, and camshaft.

I've never been a fan of a huge blower on an otherwise stock motor. If I were you and that's your goal, a good h/c/i, supporting mods, and a bore/stroke job will go well beyond 400bhp

Since you have a bare block, might as well buy a stroker kit. You'll spend about the same as buying a stock crank, rods and decent pistons.

its really easy with a carb read this . 401 hp, stock shortblock. good heads, a mild intake and carb did it at the crank. you will lose 10-15 hp from the accessorys in the car but you could make that up easy.

I haev seen the 5.7 So called hemi heads and they arent true hemi heads. and i still dont believe that wit just afr 165's and a bigger carb the 5.0 will make 400 bhp wit a stock cam.
