yeah thats what it was i couldnt think of the name. what your supposed to do is suck it in while the engine is on then shut it off and let it sit for 15 minutes and then start it again

I always change the oil...Usually 10 - 15 miles after. And like you said, I like to do it when my tank is a little on the low side just to increase the concentration. Can't say that it's better to go with less gas, but it's just one of my quirks that I like to do.

Neverheard of any "horror" stories per se. I have heard of people who had problems with their plugs after. But that's not necessarily the seafoams fault. Problem was, they had spark plugs that were so old and worn that literally the only thing holding the tip together was carbon buildup. If you remove that carbon, then the plug falls apart and will no longer produce a spark. Of course, the problem wasn't the seafoam. The problem was they neglicted to perform routine maintainence.
To put it another way. Imagine a relly rusty nail holding a board to a wall. If you remove the "rust" then there will be nothing left of the nail. The rust remover didn't cause the problem... it simply made you aware of a real issue. Had the nail not been bad to begin with, the rust remover would have done no harm.
