Default new car?

As of now i have a 96gt, with a few bolt on's. O/R H pipe flows 40 series, cai, pi intake, and some other little detail stuff. I found a 95 gt for sale by my house. It has a lot of parts, racing seats, roll bar, full exhaust, suspensions, underdrive pulleys, salean body kit, ford racing injectors. Aftermaket flywheel, driveshaft. Cobra R rims, and lots of other stuff that i cant remember right now. There are asking 7000 for it. What would you guys do. I am going to go and see how much they would give me on a trade in. One of the turn offs is that it has obd1 and has to run on the dyno for emissions and i am pretty sure that it has no cats.
I was also wondering what you guys like/dislike about the 5.0's

dude the 4.6 is a nice engine, dont get me wrong, if you got a good amount of money to play with keep the 4.6
if you want to work on the engine and all that urself get the 5.0!!! you can save alot that way. see if they would go down to 6K...how many miles does it have and what shape its in. if its less than 120K miles and is in good condition i would spend the 7K if i had it... why pay more if ya got too lol

I just bought my 94, and was contemplating a 96+, but couldn't see myself tinkering with an OHC engine. The 5.0 is just so reliable, and easy to mod and work on it's not even funny. I would sell the 4.6 and purchase that LOW mileage 95. obd1?? How's that?

Didnt obdII come out in 96 meaning that for emissions they just plug it in and on obdI they have to actually run it?

he never said otherwise

keep your car, i was all on board for you to sell until i read you wanted to sell it for a car with a saleen body kit and roll bar...i say you gather some money up get yourself some pi heads and then build a custom turbo setup for your modular engine. second thought forget the pi heads just go with the turbo save the rest for a rebuilt engine with forged internals. it sucks that the 4.6's dont respond the best to bolt ons and they cost more but they are pretty damn tough and efficient

No, obdII came out in the late 80's early 90's, and they still have to test the obdII cars on the dyno-type emissions system. Hell, my 2004 Dodge Ram had to be tested on the dyno. But they also plug in the electronics.
