the kit dimebag is refering to is the one i use for my customers (and my own tranny) it's from ddperformance.com and contains all the syncros, bearings/races, orings, and the little odd and end things ie. roll pins, clips etc.... 210$$$ shipped is what it costed me when i did my first one (my tranny) the prices are the same shipping may very (not sure if they do flat rate shipping or depending on distance)

Bad Bad Bad advice go kick that tranny guy in the *****... syncros are designed to wear out, they last on adverage about 100,000 miles + in moddern cars dad has a 86' chevy that is only used to towing things and the tranny is still original and no problemes with the tranny at all (211,000 miles motor was rebuilt) the only real way to get syncros to last longer and still beable to drive the car spiritedly (sp) is to use a high quality fluid

I had that problem except my grinding noise was minorthroughout all of the gears. I replaced my clutch linkage with a steeda piece and it has been fine ever since. urs sounds like worn syncros because of a poorly adjusted clutch.A poorly adjusted clutch cancause gear clash whicheventually damages ur syncro teeth. Try adjusting ur clutch before u do anything that will cost u a lot of money.
