R&R intake questions
I am going to remove the upper and lower intakes to replace a bad injector and change the gaskets. I had a few questions for anyone kind enough to answer. What should I use to seal the threads on the ACT and ECT sensors and how can I keep the the four corners of the lower intake where they meet the block from leaking? Last time I took the intake off, I put silicone in the corners like you're supposed to do but I must have donesomething wrong because within a few weeks oil started working its way out the front corners, then the back ones. Any other related advice would also be welcome. Thanks in advance.

RE: R&R intake questions
you can use standard thread sealer. i dont use anything, no leaks so far.
as far as the corners of the lower goes, the rtv should replace the front and rear gasket but should also go up the intake gasket on the sides just a little to make sure there are no leaks where the rtv "gasket" meets the side gasket

RE: R&R intake questions
Here's some advice for some of you Mustangers who are planning to do an intake change for the first time. Drain your coolant first! Like a dumba** I forgot to do that even though this wasn't my first time and now I have to change my oil and check some cylinders to make sure that they aren't filled with coolant that could cause bent rods when Icrank the 5.0. That's what happens when you get in hurry.
