there not gt40 heads according to that. almost all parts stores are going to get heads and remans from jasper. they list the explorer 5.0 as a standard truck engine (hence the e7te heads).

same deal with the 93,94,95 cobra motors. they show standard 5.0's. i called jasper to get the lowdown a while back. i though i could get a killer deal as i work at carquest.

i dont understand that at all, the 5.0 explorer didn't come with the e7's, there would be a noticable drop in power if someone installed e7's on an explorer... why the hell would they sell them as a stock replacement

really the adverage tard would never know. did i mention autozone and the like get their stuff from places like recon which weld and pin heads on a regular basis. they almost never throw out a "bad" core, instead they will fix it until it is good. this is NOT good, and you do NOT want that crap on your car.

call up clearwater cylinder head and see if they have any more GT40's in stock - they were selling reconditioned sets on ebay for pretty cheap a few months back.

the only drawback to P heads is the special headers.... which is hardly a problem. They offer higher compression, better combustion, and for $550 your getting a brand new set of heads.. AND bigger valves
