Default 1980 5.0l Mustang engine question

Uh i was wondering if there are any "better" parts on a 1980 motor than on a 1991 motor?

Definately not. I think the '80 had less than 150hp and it was carbureted.

If your talking about a stock 80 mustang V8 it was a 255 not a 302/5.0 the 255 is junk.

Im just not a fan of carbs. Id much rather deal with fuel injection.

some knows what there talking about on here now n then, i was wonder how long this would go before some one would say there was no 5.0 in 80 -81.
i have a 80 motor, there not horrible but they are made for economy, 120hp 2brrl. everything 302 fits them. once u change the heads and intake and add a 4barrel i think it might be alot closer to 200hp, but im not spending all that time on mine, im just keeping it incase

ok just wonderin i know the hp rating is only 119 but i was just checking to see if anything at all
was better like roller rockers, block,etc...and i think its a 79...idk why i put 80....

before you call us ignorant you should look at the question. he asked if there was any better parts on an 80 then a 91. hint why people said "nothing"
