Default Rear disk brake issues.

I put in a 3.55 8.8" from an 88 t-bird in my 86 stang. I have several issue. Most can be solved with just a few parts.

I replaced the rotors and pads but I can not get the piston in the caliper to open up so I can put the caliper back on. I was thinking maybe a bad caliper but both of them are that way. Is there a trick to get the piston opened up?

The shims that are in the caliper make the pads almost impossible to install and they are jammed in there when you do get them installed. Is this normal. As far as I know they should be tight but not that tight. I can not get them back out of the caliper when the shims installed without using something to pry them out.

The brake line comes in on the wrong side. The axle has it on the left but the car is on the right. Has anyone had good luck splicing in the line or should I replace the whole thing. (Car Portion) I cant find the correct one for the axle at all.

The E-Brake cables are way different. This looks like a $75.00 fix from 50resto.com

Master Cylinder. ??? I found one of the newer style in an 89 it comes with the master cylinder and proportioning valve. Can I get away with using these.

Default RE: Rear disk brake issues.

crack the bleeder, you should be able to push them in. if you can't, they're frozen.
the anti rattle clips are supposed to make the pads tight. dont worry about it.
