I dont recall any drilling needed. The Headlight panel is built into the bumper. When you pull the nose off the headlights and everything will will come with it. Pull then nose, adapt the wiring, and put the new nose on. Whala... You are done.

will the fenders be the same or do i need to swap them too? they look about the same length and shape but i don't just want to assume and have to go back and pull em off anyways.

Fenders are the same... Hood, Nose, Triming and Doors Changed in 87. Doors are interchangable but they were changed to support a door mountable speaker. and a slightly different door panel. Convertible and T-Top use doors with no frame on the top half. Coupe and hatch use the framed door. Fox body changes were all fairly minor from 1979-1993. If you have any of them you can fairly easily make it look like a different one. Keep in mind if you change the Nose you have to change the hood also. The hood wraps down the front more.

Before I sold my 83 Vert I was considering trying to buy an 87 - 93 4banger vert to put all my 83 body parts on cause my 83 had bad rust (came from Michigan) I like the looks of the 4 eyes! Even considered taking a newer vert and put my 79 parts I had on it and make a 79 pacecar vert!

Is the wiring for the doors the same?I mean, except for the speakers, do the power windows and lock wiring match?
