Default Fuel Pressure Regulation

If i was to run an EFI Fuel pump on a carburated car and wanted to make sure the pressurestayed down where is it supposed to bedoes everyone think thatit would be ok to run anEFI regulator first to drop the pressure down to like 30 to 40 psi and then a carberated regulator to drop it down to the 7-10 psi recommendation. i know i can justuse a mechanicalpump and be done with it allbutI'm lookin into buying a newtank and eventually plan on adding efi to my car. but ive also thought about getting the earlier tank and running an external electric pump also thus needing and answer to this question. What does the peanut gallery think here??????
