Default RPM gauge outa whack?

hey guys, sorry havent been here for a while, well lately since its been colder my rpm guage seems kinda whacky. It goes up in chunks it seems like, not gradually, like it use to. It goes back and forth really bad... i dont know hwat the problem is, maybe one of you do?

get an autogage for 80 bucks on ebay like i did and wire it up, its easy... check out my site it shows you how to install one.

You didn't really answer his question, lol. My TTPGT did this too, it turned out the gear at the end of the speedo cable where it goes into the transmission was sticking, check your cable too. Hope this helps. Good luck!

how does the speedo cable or gear have anything to do with RPM's? All the tachs iv worked with run off the distributor so id check wiring to that

lol, I thought this was about speedometer... MAI BAHHHD!!! My friends usually say I'm very perceptive too, oh well gimme a break, I've been up for 28 hours.

Mine does that too, my car sits out side and in the morn when it is cold it will do it until it gets warmed up. Then it is fine. So i dont know i dont worry about it.

thanks for the input, it still does it even after it warms up... i also need my speedo gear calibrated for my tires now that you mention it.
