Default shorty or long tube headers? and why?

should i get shorty or long tubed headers? I got a D-1 procharger plan on pushing 12pounds of boost and run around 5-600hp... what would suit my needs better and why? also how hard will they be to put on with the motor out.. I hear long tubes are a pain to put on.. but the motors out, it may be easyer.. thanks guys..

Longtubes with that kind of horsepower. Just will most likely have to getlonger o2's and some long tubes dont even have a provison for them.

i just laugh inside when people talk about supercharging cars and they dont even know if long tubes are better than shorties.

Personally, I'm rather fond of equal length shorty headers. Not that I have a set... I don't want to deal with the headache of installing them into an SN95... but I do like them over longtubes.

i would say go with long tubes for that kind of HP. i heard you have to pull the heads to put on or take off long tubes. dont know why for sure... i was just told that.

I have shorties and have no complaints. except for mine where chrome and they now look like poo dizzle!

why does everyone act like taking a few bolts out and jacking around a motor is tough?
