God i need rear end help.
i slid the rear end on my 1985 mustang gt out while going around a corner andSMACKED the curb doing about 45 MPH. The damage is as follows, The passenger side axle housing is bent about 10 degrees, dented, cracked. I snapped something in the diff, it cracks, pops, and locked up as i was pulling into my driveway. I am going to ditch the 7.5 inch that came stock and go with a 8.8 or 9 inch rear end. i have called wrecking and salvage yards locally and can't locate anything that would bolt into my stang. SO i now guess i need to start from scratch and buy a new housing, diff, axles, ect.
Here are the questions, Do i go with a 8.8 or a 9 inch? Where should i look to get these parts, and what exactly will i need?

RE: God i need rear end help.
You will need ring and pinion, clutch system theres a few dif brands, i wouldnt get a spool, axles. I would wait to find an 8.8 then buying a brand new one.I see them around here a lot. If you really want to go all out, spend some money, and "make it work" a 9 inch would be the way to go.

RE: God i need rear end help.
I have a stock 8.8 from my 1990 that I would get rid of. All it needs are the backing plates. I'll sale the rearend, and stock control arms for $75. bucks and you pay shipping. I will even part it out if need be. I just need to make space. It's sitting right in my way.
