Default starter number 5

i blew my 5th starter today. i have a 306 with 9 to 1 for compression and i keep going throuhg starters. i got this 1 from duralast. theres no crunchin when i turn the key it just whines. the teeth on the flywheel are fine. any suggestions?

ya i put a shim in it this last time and it seemed to work fine up till today when it just whines now....

you think maybe its possible you have the wrong flywheel/clutch combo for your bellhousing?
