yea the chrome headers are like 100 bucks less than the ceramic ones are...my plans are some afr heads, a cam and a kenne bell or a turbo in the near future, so i am trying to build up the base for that..how much better are ceramic than chrome?

Chrome vs. Ceramic coating - Chrome finish is intended to provide protection for the header. The chrome will "burn in" and some discoloration will occur when heat is applied. A chrome finish, when maintained properly will give you many years of service. Ceramic coating is a high luster silver color, and looks like highly polished aluminum. It will not discolor with the introduction of heat and is corrosion and heat resistant to 1000 degrees. At the same time it creates a thermal barrier in turn lowers the under hood temperature and adds life to your header.

I personally would spend the extra money on ceramics. Chrome headers turn rainbow color and eventually can rust if not maintained. Ceramics should look better for longer and also help with heat as stated above.
