any creative minds?
ok so i have a new problem with my stang...
the drivers side door lock arm, the actual little button that comes up through the panel..
underneath the door panel, where that arm comes through the framing, there is a hole, a little bit smaller than a quarter.
obviously there is some kind of stock bushing that is supposed to be there.
mine fell out somewhere, i cant find it.
anyone got an idea of something i can use to make a new bushing here?
when i hit the unlock button, that arm leans to the side too much, and the door panel stops it from coming all the way up.
got questioned last night at the movies, they thought i was stealing the car...
i put the window down and use a knife to move that arm to the right spot, then hit the button.
sorry for the ****ty explanation... i'd take a pic but my girl has the cam and she isn't here.

Hey matt- I dont think there is supposed to be a gromet in that hole. The trim ring in the door panel is supposed to stay engaged with the lock **** even when it is in the locked position. Sounds to me like the rod itself may be bent or the door panel not down in the proper position. If neither of these is the situation, try to unscrew the lock **** until it stays engaged in the **** ferrell. If it works when you unscrew it partially, try putting a bit of rolled up paper inside the **** and screw it back on. The little bit of paper should limit the amount the **** can be screwed down, and still be able to be tightened up.
