Default H/C/I - set-up help

I am looking to do h/c/i but am not sure what set-up to go with. I really want to stay in a low budget to do this and don't want a very extreme cam. I don't want to change my exhaust set-up(already have Ford racing shorties and MAC o/r x.

I was looking at GT40 heads etc. because they look to be the lowest priced.

I'm new to the 5.0 business and would like some good advice here guys! Also just note what will be needed for the install like special tools etc. this will be my first h/c/i of course.

Also I did a prior search but all I found was people talking about there swap and there weren't really any prices etc.

Thanks!

you can do a nice Gt40 setup, with a typhoon intake and a nice cam for around 1k

maybe a tad more for odd's and ends that you decide to do

You have any more info? Where to purchase, what cam etc? What else will I need besides the h/c/i to do the install?

you can pick up the GT40P's from tristatecylinderheads for 600 bucks ready to bolt on. add 100-200 for a explorer/cobra/gt40 intake from a junk yard or ebay. 100 for timing chain, gaskets, and misc autoparts stuff. 100 for a used B or E cam....... dimple you headers to make the plugs clear - your at about a grand.

^ thats the cheap way

Since i'm doin the swap should I absolutely upgrade injectors to 24 and a bigger MAF?

Are the GT40 P's going to get me a good power gain and will they fit with my aftermarket Ford Racing shorty headers?
