Default 86 5.0 in a 91 ? how much trouble ?

I have recently bought a 91 LX with a 302/carb engine but also got a 86 5.0 FI engine in the deal. Just wondering how much trouble changing these out wiring wise? I have the computer and wiring harness for the 86 as well as most of the wiring looks to still be with the other car due to the amount of connectors tied back in the engine compartment.

you would need the harness under the 86s dash to connect the 86 5.0 and the 86 has flat-top pistons that limit your choice to one type of aftermarket head

just leave the carb engine in there cause the 86 block has flat top pistons

plus 86 heads are e6 which are even worse than the e7, plus the pistons

I dont see why you wouldnt just swap the 86 EFI system onto it and leave the block it has, in it

no need to pull the motor when you can swap the lower intake manifold and bolt on the EFI stuff

i have noticed people in this section tend to overthink situations. maybe its the extra wiring under the hood that makes people think things are harder than they really are?

Im really thinking of keeping the carb and I have no problem with it just thought about doing the switch back......please dont anyone throw stones at me for saying this but I want a engine that sounds mean with a bad rumble and a car that looks mean!!! but Im not into going fast anymore...been there about got killed there so all Im after is sound and a little scare in the air for the street....so im thinking of just putting a wicked stick in the carb motor and leaving it in there. Not sure just yet justtryin to figure out how much trouble ifI do decide to go this routeand I hope everyone understands my thoughts and dont think im nuts.
