5.0L (1979-1995) MustangTechnical discussions on 5.0 Liter Mustangs within. This does not include the 5.0 from the 2011 Mustang GT. That information is in the 2005-1011 section.
No 205 actually, but it was only because ford changed their ways of testing the engines output. The engine actually makes the same power as the 87-92 engines did. BTW, the SN95's were rated at 215 crank, had they been rated like ford used to rate them, they would have been 235hp at the crank. just a little FYI from the inside.
cold air intake and a dual flowmaster exhaust(vary's between which exhaust you choose)
And a racing chip will bump you up to the 300's(if ur lucky)
Your going to have to do a bit more then that............Trymatching intake and cam and you'll be getting there.
Sry, but a cai, caback and "racing chip" will net you about 10 hp. Dont waste your money on a chip unless its custom burnt with a tune. And an intake and cam still wont get you anywhere near 300. If your lookin for 300hp cheap then nitrous is your best bet. Either nitrous or a HCI swap with a tune. You can get setup a basic nitrous setup for around 500 bucks, then add in a few accessories and your probly around 800$, and you can get a full topend kit for around 2 grand, depending on what brands you go with.
