sweet. I knew the 5.0 was a good motor, I just never imagined they were that good... provided you dont go over 500 hp and expect the stock block to hold up to all the power[&:]

all I need is a complete motor for oh, 400 bucks and I'll be happy... I'll sink the other 500 into Misc. parts, mallory ignition etc. I'll do it as budget friendly as possible, I'll try to see if I can salvage parts, like the acessories, starter, sensors etc off of my 3.8, and see if I can do the whole thing for less than 1200-1400... it may take me the rest of the summer, since I barely have days off anymore..[:@] 2 jobs...

I hope I can make it all work out good.

I know the 3.8 guys will be sad, and the s-232 project will basically die off, but Ive got to do what Ive gots to do...

my dad said "if it gets you to stop talking about that car 24/7 and get you working on it then I'll even help"

even if my mechanic doesnt have the crated 5.0 or if it is too much $$ for me, I'm sure he can find me a stock one...
he is known around and is a mustang fan like all of us, he has an '88 GT t-top which is modded to hell. I think it has a 306 in it, full exhaust, tune, cobra intake, GT-40 heads, and maybe some spray. he has alot of work into it(cantremember all the work he has done, butyou name it, its modded)and it flies like a *****, I think he said it runs 11's, but I am not sure. he hasnt been to the track in a few years... not too many near me...[] but he said it is legal to run in the 10's... has a 6pt cage, subframes, harnesses, fire extingusher, etc... but it is just awesome. he knows his $h!t...
