I tookout my t-5, and I'mupgrading to a Tremec TKO 6 spd. I would like some advice on what all needs to be changed over and how much of a pain in the ***** it is. Any help would be great, I know a few of you have done this so let me know what I'm in for.

how much power are you putting out? and uh... new, or modified cross member... bell housing, clutch(depending on the input shaft) shifter, and driveshaft.

I just did this last week its not too bad. I did the whole thing by myself in two and a half days and had never done anything like that before. You will need a new belhousing, 26 spline clutch and you will need to grind off the welds on the crossmember and slide the bushings back and reweld it. You also need a new slip yoke for the driveshaft, you dont have to get a whole new driveshaft

Its going to be about 600 to the wheels. Right now I have a alumium drive shaft.(ford racing)I think I need a new bell housing and cross member. I've been doing some reading on it online now. Oh yeah 31 spline input shaft too.

yeah but look around and youll find good dealsi got my TKO600 new in box for 900 and the bellhousing for 100

Where did you find a new TKO for $900 at?? D&D wanted $2100 for everthing I need shipped to my door,and Jegs was $1,800 just for the tranny. And the guy there didn't know sh$t about what else Ihad to havefor the install.

Some guy on ebay. I emailed him within 20 min of the auction starting asking what he was looking to get for it to end the auction early and he told me 900 i couldnt believe it. I was a little worried it was a scam but about a week later i got it in the mail exactly as described
