Default interesting thought

i dont know if these is the right place to post....

anyways someone i know was talking about setting up a supercharger and turbo charger kit......hmmmm

it sounds kind of fishy, he didnt really explain it well but how i can imagine it would be run like a vortech and you would splice the intake pipe and then run your turbo as normal that way you can run them both????

i did some research on this to see if was even possible and supposedly the new ss cobalt that is supercharged has an aftermarket turbo kit you can run in combination with the supercharge, but it doesnt explain how it works and there is no pictures.

pls post what you know. thanks!!!

it would seem to me that the S/C would be sucking more than the turbo would be producing, at least in the low RPM range.

i dont think it would work very well at all.

I was just about to post that. It was an interesting little design. I believe the s/c was supposed to give you the low end boost and help while waiting for the turbo to spool up and kick in.

sounds like a waste of money to me... u want two power adders? go TT. only way i would see it working effectivly is if the turbo made low boost and fed into a twinscrew, or roots that further compressed the turbo's boost.... but in the end, you could make the same boost w. just one or the other

so this idea....is it the same theory behind the supra with a little turbo for low end and a bigger turbo for high end or to compensate until the bigger turbo hits full boost? thats what this is starting to sound like with the s/c t/c combo....kinda lame
