So just unplug the ECT sensor and start the car and see if the fan comes on? If it does what does that mean? That it is the ECT and not the CCRM?

And is the CCRM not in the diagram or am I just missing it?

the diagram is from a foxbody, but the location of the ECT is the same

you dont have to start the car, just turn the key to the on position

yes. the computer will attempt to run the fan constantly if it doesn't receive a coolant temp signal from that sensor.

btw, trying to spin the fan by hand to get it to go, is about the dumbest thing you could ever do. dont EVER do that again.
