[&:] you are correct. I didnt mean to say split, dont know why that popped into my head, maybe cause thats what happens most of the time. Still a 308 is stretching the walls limits

that block will last a long time if tuned properly. your gonna be real near 425, maybe 450. get a nice tune and the block won't blow.
I hear you loud and clear....I already had a long discussion with the tuner and told him that I would rather see 420s and be real safe than to much timing just to see 450s...

My plan is to keep this together for as long as possible and if it does split I will step up to a better block and then push more boost..but I am kind of broke now...as you can imagine....Hey mattdel...fellow Mass resident here...Methuen...

Ya I grew up in Andover too....but could not get in any trouble there so we hung out in Lawrence....dont spend much time there now..though....My 5.0 and Harley never go there...

well of course there are many factors that play into yoru hp i said 450, i have a buddy with a 306 with a vortec s-trim and he runs about 8lbs of boost and he put down 451 to the wheels so i think you might be up there.

I'll take a guess and say you'll clock in at 350 rwhp before your pistones shatter all to hell for running lean due to a vacuum leak.
