cooling down
I am wondering what is involved in replacing the factory thermostat with a 180 degree thermostat. I called jegs and they were trying to sell me the hypertech programmer saying that since my car is computer controlled, I would need the programmer to make the car actually run at 180. Does this make any sense? I have a 94 5.0 and it is running a little hotfor my comfort. I would think everything would be fine, but I am not sure. Thanks for your help.

RE: cooling down
where are you from?? I've ran a 160*, 180*, and now i'm runnin a 195*. The 160 worked good when i wasn't using the car for a daily driver. The 180 i did not like. The 195 works like a champ for me. The computers are set to run with a 195* but a 180* would work fine. By the way... i have a 15" black magic flex-a-lite fan for sale... no wires, just the fan. Shoot me some numbers.

180° stat would be fine. 195° is stock, and recommended... but the 180 wont hurt anything
