starting question
the car cranks over normally, it just wont engage, i dont think it could be the battery, starter or alternator.. maybe a bad solenoid? i had it started perfectly last night, then i put in a fan and the next morning the car wouldnt start, just cranked.. any suggestions on what the problem could be?

RE: starting question
It sounds like you have a "Cranks, no start" situation. The first thing you should check for is...
Does your fuel pump turn on?
Do you have fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail?
Do you have spark?
Once you have checked these things, and the car STILL does not start... Unplug the MAF and try to start it again. If it starts with the MAF unplugged, your MAF is shot.
If you have no spark, replace your TFI module.
If you have no fuel, replace your pump.
If your pump does not turn on, check the relay, AND the inertia switch.

RE: starting question
i mean is there any way that the cause could be the fan, perhaps the fan uses too much power and my battery or something cant handle it? b/c it ran perfectly b4 the fan installation, then the next morning after the installation, it cranked, but didnt start

RE: starting question
right, but what existing wires in the car did you splice into to make it work? you needed a 12v source. if you went off the wrong one, you could be taking power away from something important.

RE: starting question
ohhh, well one of them goes to the battery of course, and theres another which im not sure where it is, i had it on the solenoid, but then my friend spliced it to something else near the solenoid.. b/c i didnt no whether the solenoid is a 12 volt source or not.. if it is then ill switch em, b/c maybe thats the problem... is the solenoid a 12 volt source?

RE: starting question
the positive side is a constant 12v source, yes, but you probably want a switched 12v source. try the low coolant sensor in the overflow tank, or something else that comes on with the key.
try to make sure that your not tapping into any fuel pump or spark related wiring, like the TFI or + coil wire.
