Default Voltage Regulator

Hey fella's hopefully someone will have the answer to this question. I have a 200 amp alternator in my 94 GT 5.0 and I want to replace the voltage regulator. I believe its bad because the volt meter on the dash moves back and fourth when I accelerate. When it idles the voltage is low andthe battery is new and the alternator is about two years old. I want to know inreplacing the voltage regulator does it have to be one that's 200amp itself. I can't find any voltage regulators that specify 200 amp I only see regulators detailing 130 amps. Can any one help???
