headlights dont work right

headlights dont work right
ok i got this car they had installed round lights in the place otf the square ones, i switch back and now my lights only come on with my brights on, anyone have an idea why. they work right before i switched em yesterday, so i dont think my switch is bad

1A1 are highs and 2A1 is low, i have one spare 2a1 i can try thats brand new, i just dont get how one of the elements in each would be bad, that means one of each 2a1 has the same bad element!
ORIGINAL: 86 5.0L
we have sealed beams mattdel[8D] anyway the highbeams should have only 2 prongs and the lowbeams have 3 prongs, make sure you didnt put all four the same
