Roundman, thank you for your reply, YEah I was wondering.. Well I guess I will have to go with the AFR's DARN!! lol.. Yeah the E-303 is the legal cam, but I hear if you put on 1.73's you can almost match the performance of the E-303 with the stock cam. I was thinking about the AFR 165's and that new BBK upper/lower... Heard anything about this combo Roundy? Anyone?
there are other street legal heads out there other than the AFR's but they wont' make quite the power of the AFR's according to the test results I've seen. I'm sure the BBK intake would work well with the AFR heads, but you are still being held back by the cam which has to keep you emissions legal, so I don't know if I would spend big bucks on another intake right now. why not try just the cam and heads and see how this works for you and the emissions testing before you go any farther with the mods? this might save you some bucks in the long term too.

Ford Racing claims 345 horse out of their 302 Crate Motor with the GT-40X heads.. So either they are lying or those heads are pretty good.

What brand/model heads would you go with if you had my mods? I've been hearing arguments for bopth 165 and 185's and regardless since I have an 86, I'll need to get the pistons notched anyway.

Vortech 5 psi SC, 70 MM TB, 73 MM MAF, 30 lb. inj., 190 lph FP, pulleys, Mass Air Conversion, aluminum rad, electric fan, TF Street intake, equal lengths, 3"mandrel bent x-pipe, MSD 6AL box, blah, blah, blah.

It's all in what you want and how you drive. I drive it hard . So I went with a lower compression set that will allow me to add 8-9lbs and hopefully not kill it as fast.
