Stroking now, H/C/I later?

Stroking now, H/C/I later?
Would this be a bad idea? I was thinking of stroking my stock 5.0 to a 347, then doing H/C/I later on, so that i could have cut pistons so i could get some bigger heads. Is there any negative effects to this?
also, how would a 347 with H/C/I react to boost?
thanks guys.

yea your gas mileage may go down... lol , thats a great motor setup if its done properly, my friend brian hoffman recently put a 347 stroker in his car with gt40 heads and intake and an e cam, and he runs a vortech s trim blower and its an awesome setup, he really likes it, its his first summer with the setup and so far so good.

Nope nothing wrong with that at all probably the best way to go.
Although if I was going to redo mine all over again (which probly will happen some day) I would get a dart block with a 347 stroker with forged bottom end so you wouldn't have to worry about anything plus you can rev the holy bejezus outta it.
What you could do is buy all forged bottom end stuff and then get a nice fancy block later when the time comes, which is an option if you really wanna get the motor done now or whatever.

It is a good way to go BUT you wont make that much power with just stroking it to a 347 so dont expect nothing huge. Yes, it will free up power but the motor wont shine until a good set of heads goes on it.
