Default Should I change my setup.....need opinions

Ok, my setup is in my sig. below. Since winter is here where I'm at, I'm debating if my setup needs anything or not to get ready for the strip in the springt time.
The area that I'm thinking might be the weak link is my intake and carb.

According to my carb. calculator, my carb. cfm is still plenty for my engine. I like the smaller carb. because I get snappy throttle response on the street. If I go with a 750, I'm afraid I might lose some throttle response and some low end torque.
Also, my intake is an edelbrock performer. I was told I should have a single plane intake.
Will a single plane intake and 750cfm make that much of a difference in my 1/4 times. Last year I only went 13.58 at 104mph.....BUT... that was with a 7.5 rear with 2:73 gears, one wheel spinning, no subframes, no slicks and my 60' times where a $hitty 2.3 and 2.4 range.
This car will should run easy 12's the way it is since I got my 8.8 with 4:10's,new trac-loc, and subframes and plus I'll have slicks for next spring.
Any thoughts? Should I run it the way it is now or wait until I see what it runs since the mods and go from there?

no single plane, I don't know what cam your running (assuming its relatively mild since your running stock heads and a 2500 stall). A nice dual plane like a Performer RPM would probably be perfect for you, a single plane is just gonna kill your low end power in favor of high rpm power - something your heads and probably cam doesnt support.

I don't know what you consider mild but I have a Comp Cam 274XE cam(hyd.)
The specs are .519/.523 lift 274*/284* duration and 110*LSA
I know my heads are not aftermarket but I have a lot of money in them and they work well...for now.
My HP calculator estimates I have 348hp at the flywheel so I know that enough for 12's with sticky tires.

BTW, yes my converter is a little small. I didn't do enough homework before I ordered the converter. I should have about a 3500 stall.

Yeah, that would be great. The only reason I have a c-4 is because I needed a tranny at the time and my buddy had the c-4 laying around his garage collecting dust and he gave it to me for nothing.

that is a mild cam..as for the single plane and 750 yes it will better you times but wouldn't be fun to drive daily.....maybe do some port matching on the intake, and use some expoxy for the floor under the carb base of the intake...milling the hone of the 600 will help as will reading the plugs using different power valves and spring and changing the cam on the holley throttle ....also mill the bolts in the butterflies if the carb will help flow..remember who you have a combo you like don't change do the little things now just to impove some.....we all can go fast few can be consitane

The guys from comp cams said the 274XE cam would be a good choice for my setup. It has aggressive ramp rates than make it seem larger than what it is. It has tons and I mean tons of low and mid range power but the show is over at around 6k though.
It makes more power than the 280 magnum cams.
It's always better to have a cam that's on the small side rather than a cam that's too big.
