ok. i have a 95gt with 166k on it. i've had it for 6 years and it still runs good. i was able to get a garage to use for 3 months to do some work on it. i am starting with the engine.

i am not sure if i want to rebuild the current one or get one already rebuilt to stock specs. the rebuild kits that i've seen run from $300-$400. i found an already rebuilt off ebay for $700 (minus heads & intake) with warranty. i dont want to go overboard here with forged internals as i was very happy with the stock block and its endurance.

i plan on getting new aluminum twisted wedge heads and trick flow upper/lower intakes. also need advice on a cam for this setup.

the aode is beat. i am going to get a rebuilt aode with stall conv. -not converting to t5

the rear differential is fine.

i need some direction as it's been awhile since i've pulled an engine and planned a new setup... the last one was a 350 carbed chevy..thx
