Larger in diameter, not just longer? If someone replaced the axles, most aftermarket axles come with 1/2" studs.

definitly DO NOT USE STOCK LUGS on weld wheels... you NEED to use a shank style lugnut... otherwise you will distroy the wheels

no they shouldnt.

weld wheels must use the shank lug nut, you can not for any reason run a standard nut

No, I don't have any lugnuts that will fit the Weld wheels. I'll have to order them because the local parts store doesn't carry them.So what size should I order for them to fit properly? When I look at the wheel you can see the stock lugs. They sit just inside the wheel lug holes. I will need the shank lugnuts for sure. So should I go with an open end shank lug or the closed end? Are they 1/2-20?

Buy enough for all 4 wheels. Just because the studs come out far enough in the rear to thread on a acorn nut, doesn't mean you should use it. You need shank style and washers on all the wheels.
Well the problem is that I have larger studs on the rear. They will not handle a stock size lug. They were big enough that the Weld wheels fit very snug over them, and the studs stick out about an inch and a half past the wheel base. I'll try to get pics of them installed tonight. I'm at work right now.
