Default size of factory 95gt Maf

Somebody just told me that the factory size of my maf is 70mm. Is that correct? I have always heard that when upgrading your throttle body it is a good idea to match the maf to the same mm. But if I upgraded to a 70mm throttle body then.... I don'tknow if I would have to upgrade my maf or not.

70mm sounds pretty big for a stock maf. but for all i know i could be stupid and it very well could be 70mm.

so a 70mm TB with lets say a 75mm Mass Airflow Sensorw would work well? Also, is a throttle body a throttle body, do the brands really matter that much? I don't see how one chunk of metal with a hole in it could be different that a different chunk of metal with the same size hole, lol.

there are differences in manufactoring processes... a no-name TB is more than likely going to have shotty casting, uneven gasket mounting spots, and the butterfly will probably stick more than most

when it comes to buying performance, aftermarket parts... no matter WHAT it is, you get what you pay for.

Alrite thanks alot. What do you think about the Summit Mafs and TB's. Do you think they compare to the quality of the BBK ones?

well I'll be doing an h/c/i swap later down the road. I have heard 70mm is a good inbetween size.
