an oil leak from up top, like the intake or valve covers, has the potential to drip onto the clutch, given certain circumstances, but a rear main won't.

Yepppers. That may change though sometime during this racing season. Will have to wait and see what the slicks are gonna do to it.

My rear main seal is seeping a little bit and my original stock clutch still grabs fine.
