Default A few quick questions.

First off, I jacked my motor up in order to get to my oil pump, I bought a 4 piece gasket set for the oil pan (I know, there are better) and I'm wondering where I put the gasket maker crap on that gasket, does it have to go all the way around the gasket? And do I put the gasket on the motor or the pan first?
Second, or third, I unbolted the motor mounts from the motor and when I bring it down the holes wont match up to where I cannot get the bolts on, could I just bring it right above than put the bolts in the mounts and slowly drop the motor to make it line up or is there a better way?

Also, I don't own a torque wrench but was wondering if it was possible for me to tighten the oil pan bolts without one? I mean, just not tighten them enough to squeeze the gasket?
