maaco does a terrible job on the clearcoat. my buddy got a paintjob there and his clearcoat was cracking within 6 months. find a better place to paint ur car.

For the love of god don't take your car there. Wait till you have the money and pay for a quality job seriously. You'll be kicking yourself in the a$$ later believe me.

Maaco has a bad rep...but at the same time, they have been around for a long time....

I think it will really come down to whoever is actually painting the car...

If you have a kid painting your car a Maaco or some Performance shop.....you will get the same results...After all, the shop name is not going to make the kid paint any better....

If you know a guy that works at your local Maaco that can paint....then don't worry about it.

I guess what I am trying to say....find out who will be spraying your car....and base your decision on that, not the name of the facility where they are painting it.

If you decide to go with Maaco dont get the cheapest paint job they offer.

I took mine to them for an estimate on bodywork and paint and they were actually alot more expensive than a few other shops.

I wrecked my old ar and replaced a few panels. I had macco paint it, they painted over a Beretta USA sticker I had on the trunk lid, other than that it didn't look bad. From others I've seen do the prep/body work yourself let them spray it. You get what you pay for also.
