This may sound wierd, but check yout tps. It can make your engine do all kinds of funky stuff when it goes bad.

Check the smog pumpdiverter valve vacuum lines... If any of those lines are busted or not connected the valves will allow the smog pump to pump air into the exhaust during deceleration and cause a backfire.
