usually u wanna replace lifters because the mate with each lobe of the cam. that's y u keep them in oreder when u take them out if ure reusing the cam. You don't need to do bearings

You know I called Afr today and asked for a cam reccomendation and they gave methe xe270hrand I told him I have an automatic, surely that wont make too much of a differance will it? He said it would be ok

SHOULD replace them and NEED to replace them are two COMPLETELY different things...
then again, if everyone did what was recommended, lifters would be getting changed every 60k miles in our cars.... since ford recommended it.

Yeah but for 1200 i could have all new internals, I just dont want to spend money on the stock internals when I plan on buying forged in the future, but i see your point, maybe good for future use......Ill just tell my wife I need new heads in two years and she wont argue
