the same thing is happening to my car, but im not doing 100+ mph, mine sounds like it could be misfiring or floating a valve. My power also instantly drops off. I have done a tune up, but not checked the timing. the wierd thing is that it happened at 5200rpm, then a few days later at 4100rpm. Im kinda pissed. also, i only have 116K on the engine with everything stock except for the sig.

mayb a fuel filter.... when have u changed it??/ at that high of speed and RPM you pump may have been working is *** off to push fuel thru a dirty filter.... i dont think thats the whole problem tho.... does it do it all the time if you 4000-5200RPMs or just when you goin faster??? also are u an auto or manual??? and breaking up isnt very discreptive... look for better adjectives and adverbs so its ezer to get the point across... really dunno waht u mean by breaking up

That happened to my car, WOT or around 4krpm sounds like its misfiring or slightly "ticking"... turned out to be the module on the distributor going bad. Luckily I had an extra one laying around that I could swap in. I rem it drove me nuts trying to figure it out, I changed out all the vacuum hoses, tps, even downgraded my 88 back to SD from MAF cause I thought it could be the computer or MAF going bad.

id say 9/10 its the pick up coil which is in the distrubutor. happend to me while racing a honda in my 93 GT and he ended up gettin me top end cause it was cuttin out. After that i completely understand what u mean by "breaking up".
